Bulguksa Temple
Bulguksa Temple is the main office of Diocese 11 of Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. The Buddhist temple represents Korean Buddhism and a world cultural heritage designated by the UNESCO. Bulguksa has numerous excellent Korean Buddhist works of art including many national treasures and treasured cultural assets including Seokgatap Pagod and Dabotap Pagoda, attracting several millions of people from home and abroad each year.

Seokguram Grotto
Seokguram Grotto is a stone cave temple located in the mid-slope of Mt. Toham (891 Jinhyeon-dong)in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea. It was first established in the 10th year of King Gyeongdeuk’s regime of Shilla (751) when Bulguksa was overhauled for expansion. The Grotto shows the architectural technique and formative art of Shilla.

Gyeongju Crown Prince’s Palace and Wolji (Anapji Pond)
It is the Crown Prince’s Palace where national banquets were performed to celebrate national happy occasions. The palace was built in the regime of King Munmu. Samguksaki (the Chronicles of the Three States; early 14th year of King Munmu’s reign) records that a pond was digged, an artificial mountain was established, flowers were planted and strange animals were kept in the Palace.

Gyochon Vllage, Woljeong-gyo Bridge
Samguksaki records that in the year of 760 under the reign of King Gyeongdeuk, the two bridges of Iljeong-gyo Bridge and Woljeong-gyo Bridge were constructed over the Mun-cheon Stream. The Iljeong-gyo was once called as Chunyang-gyo and located approximately 700 m upper stream to the east from the Woljeong-gyo. The Woljeong-gyp (月淨橋) was marked as the Woljeong-gyo (月精橋, 淨->精) in the Chosun period.

Observatory
The oldest observatory existing in the East. National Treasure No. 31. Observation equipment is installed at the top. The 24 seasonal subdivisions in the lunar calendar such as chunbun, chubun, dongji and haji were measured through stars. The Jeongja-seok seems to have served as the base of cardinal directions.
